This privacy policy is applicable to the ClearNews – propaganda detector app (hereinafter referred to as “Application”) for mobile devices, which was developed by Kadosa Budai (hereinafter referred to as “Service Provider”) as an Ad-Supported service. This service is provided “AS IS”.
What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?
User Provided Information
The Application acquires the following information you supply:
• (Optional) Account Information: If you choose to create an account, we collect your email address. This is used solely for authentication and to sync your data. Registration is not mandatory to use the core features of the Application.
• Text for Analysis: We collect the text you voluntarily submit to the Application for the purpose of AI-driven analysis. This is the core functionality of the service.
We will never use your email address to contact you for marketing promotions without your explicit, separate consent.
Automatically Collected Information
In addition, the Application may collect certain information automatically through integrated third-party services. This includes, but is not limited to, your mobile device’s unique device ID (for advertising, with your consent), your IP address, your mobile operating system, and anonymized information about the way you use the Application (e.g., session duration, features used).
Does the Application collect precise real time location information of the device?
This Application does not gather or store precise information about the location of your mobile device.
Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?
Yes. To provide our service, we share your information with trusted third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.
• Google Gemini AI: The text you submit for analysis is sent to Google’s Gemini AI service to generate the analysis result. Google may use this data in accordance with its own privacy policies.
• Google AdMob: To provide rewarded advertisements, we use AdMob. This service may collect device identifiers to serve personalized ads if you provide consent through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework.
• Google Analytics for Firebase: Anonymized and aggregated data about your usage is sent to Google Analytics to help us understand user behavior and improve the Application.
• Firebase Crashlytics: In the event of an app crash, anonymized diagnostic data is sent to Crashlytics to help us identify and fix bugs.
We may also disclose information as required by law, to protect our rights or your safety, or to respond to a government request.
What are my opt-out rights?
You have the right to control your information at all times.
• For All Users: You can halt all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application. This will delete all analysis history stored locally on your device.
• For Logged-in Users: You can request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. This action is irreversible and will remove your email address, analysis history, and any other user-provided data from our servers. To initiate this process, please contact us at info@tisztahirek.info with a deletion request.
Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information
We store your data for the shortest time possible, in accordance with the following principles:
• Local Data (Non-logged-in users): We retain your analysis history only on your device for as long as the Application is installed. This data is removed when you uninstall the Application.
• Cloud Data (Logged-in users): We retain your account information and analysis history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, or if your account is terminated for violating our Terms of Service, all associated User Provided Data will be permanently deleted from our live servers in a reasonable time.
• Automatically Collected Information: Anonymized analytics data, which is not linked to your personal account, may be retained for up to 24 months for statistical purposes.
Children
We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete this from our servers. Security
We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information and use reasonable electronic and procedural safeguards to protect it. However, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes.
Your Consent
By using the Application, you are giving your consent to our processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy. “Processing” means using or touching information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining, and disclosing information.
